Description
You asked for it, we delivered – A smaller Chef’s Knife!

We always get lots of positive feedback for our iconic CK20. The only criticism some of you have was that they would prefer a shorter blade. So we took that to heart and developed the CK16. The same great design as its bigger brother but a shorter 16cm blade that is more versatile and agile in your kitchen. It fits in perfectly between the CK20 and the SK15 giving you more choice when it comes to big kitchen knives from Veark.

The CK16 is the newest addition to our fully forged collection of knives. It is drop forged from a single piece of steel by experienced craftsmen in the traditional knife making town of Solingen, Germany.

The idea for the collection was drawn from the belief that the knife is a tool - maybe even the most essential tool in the kitchen. We took visual cues from the world of traditional metal tools to create a unique signature that is both visually appealing and highly functional.

Looking at how professional chefs hold their knives we developed the open handle: a wrench inspired design that invites you to slide your thumb onto the blade and grab it right at the balancing point. This adds stability and a firm grip for all cooking – every day.

The drop forging process leaves each knife with an individual pattern on the handle. A beautiful detail that makes each knife unique while serving as a reminder of the honest craftsmanship that went into its making.

All our forged knives are fully symmetrical and 100% suitable for left- and right-handed use.

The knives are sharpened by hand to just below 30° (both sides combined). For sharpening tools that can be adjusted, set the angle to 28° for the best result (14° per side).
